Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum Virtual Booth

Who We Are

Ventfort Hall is an imposing Jacobean Revival-style mansion built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, the sister of J. P. Morgan. Designed by the architects Rotch & Tilden, it is located in Lenox, Massachusetts.

What We Do

Through lectures, exhibits, theatrical performances and other events, The Museum of the Gilded Age interprets the great changes that occurred in American life, industry, and society during the Nineteenth Century, a fascinating period of American history.

Volunteer Opportunities

Helping guests make their way around the house on self-guided tours, answering basic questions they may have, and escorting guests to the second floor.

Assisting our Buildings & Grounds (B&G) crew with minor repairs throughout the house, some outdoors work, etc. Projects depend on time of year and volunteer interest and availability.

Assisting in the kitchen when we host Victorian teas and lunches throughout the year on an as-needed basis.
