Berkshire United Way Virtual Booth

Who We Are

Berkshire United Way ignites the collective power of individuals and organizations to build a stronger community together. We magnify your contributions to make lasting, positive change right here in the Berkshires. We are committed to supporting individuals and strengthening families where we live, work and play. We are Here For Good.

What We Do

Based on solid research, three areas impact a positive trajectory for today’s children and youth – parental education level, economic stability and overall health. Similarly, children’s education and healthy development are also powerful catalysts for parental thriving. Learn more about this two-generation approach through Annie E. Casey Foundation’s report on Creating Opportunities for Families. Together, you can help make changes that will shape this community moving forward.

Volunteer Opportunities

Each year, Berkshire United Way engages community volunteers to assist us with visiting our funded partners to ensure they are delivering the program(s) as expected. Site Reviews will begin in December 2021 and run through January 2022 – some virtual (Zoom) and others in-person (depending on safety protocols of agencies; may include wearing masks, physical distancing, having your temperature taken, or being vaccinated for COVID-19).

We are seeking planners, organizers, and barnstormers to help us plan 2022 events, like:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service | January 17, 2022
  • Day of Caring | Spring 2022
