Day of Caring | April 30

On April 30, our Day of Caring, 15,000 pounds of food was packed into 1,000 bags and loaded into most pantry/organization vehicles in about 2 hours – a phenomenal effort thanks to the great turnout of volunteers, including teams from Unistress and UNICO.

» The event was sponsored by Berkshire Bounty, Berkshire Money Management, and Greylock Federal Credit Union

» Guido's Fresh Marketplace provided all organic food, purchased at wholesale

» L.P. Adams again provided the space and manpower for setup

On May 1 and 2, the rest of the bags were delivered to South Community Food Pantry at South Congregational Church, Boys & Girls Club in Pittsfield, the Christian Center, St. Mark's Church, North Adams Salvation Army, and Berkshire Community Action Council to be distributed to senior housing in Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown.
