The Josh Billings Runaground supports Berkshire United Way

Did you know the Josh supports Berkshire United Way? The 39th annual historic event will be taking place Sunday, September 20th - with a call for registrants to participate and for volunteers to help make the event a success!

The 39th Annual Josh Billings RunAground Triathlon is calling on volunteers to help support its historic race which this year is taking place on September 20th 2015. Routinely, the race requires some 350 volunteers to help the event run smoothly.

“The Josh” – as it is known to locals and participants – is the second oldest triathlon of its kind in the country and has taken place in Berkshire County since 1977.  Race proceeds have benefited Berkshire United Way since 2002 and total nearly $60,000 since that time.  

The 2015 Josh Billings Runaground is scheduled for Sunday, September 20th.  It covers five Berkshire County towns and consists of a 27-mile bike ride, a 5-mile canoe, kayak or paddleboard sprint, and a 6.2 mile run.  Teams and singles of all capabilities are encouraged to participate or volunteer.  For more information visit www.joshbillings.com.
