Early Childhood Quality Programming Design Training
This is Part I of a two part training in the Berkshires with Strategies for Children. Part II will take place on March 20th at 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Purpose: Strengthen the early education programming quality of those engaged with Berkshire United Way/Pittsfield Promise
- Trainings designed for unidirectional impact, influencing solely the early ed programming to promote school readiness and grade-level reading in the community.
- Prioritize ensuring and advancing high-quality programming of those programs associated with Berkshire United Way/ Pittsfield Promise through a mixed-delivery system of programs involving children from Birth – 3rd Grade.
Attendees: Early education program directors whose programs are engaged with Berkshire United Way/Pittsfield Promise
- Varying levels of familiarity with the Program Design Evaluation Tool and foundational “campaign” paradigm
Focus of trainings: General program design: research reflective of program design and implementation and improvement science
- Provide case studies reflective of effective practices and exhibiting their implementation in like-minded communities
Key areas to target: A two-generational approach as consider developing and refining current programming
- Program alignment to desired outcomes
- Selecting and determining aligned indicators reflective of desired outcomes
