Workplace Resource Coordinator
Berkshire United Way leads the Workplace Resource Coordinator Program designed to address job retention and absenteeism. Here at Berkshire United Way, we know there are many services and resources available for the employed individuals to provide assistance, resources and support with life issues. Through this program, a Workplace Resource Coordinator meets people on site at their place of employment to connect them to these vital community resources and services addressing the non-work related issues impacting their attendance and productivity such as transportation, utility bills or child care. In addition, the program brings education and training focused on financial wellness and other relevant skills to employees at each workplace. This innovative effort is designed to create a stable work force and ultimately an improved economic climate and thriving community.
The Workplace Resource Coordinator program is currently available at five local companies. The program will address Berkshire United Way’s financial stability goal for working families by providing this service to employees, thereby reducing the struggles of Berkshire County families who fall into the category of low-income.
Berkshire United Way has also invested in the Community Connector program which is a partnership among community based service providers aimed at creating financial stability for individuals and families. The partnership is helping Berkshire County residents to raise credit scores, maintain employment, earn education degrees and connect with other resources.
