Berkshire United Way to Host #HereForGood Volunteer Month

Berkshire United Way (BUW) invites you to celebrate spring and do something good during the #HereForGood Volunteer Month in April.

Children fill a book house

In honor of National Volunteer Month, and in partnership with Northern Berkshire United Way, activities will be offered throughout Berkshire County, including assembling food packs, StoryWalk™ events for children, trail cleanups, and more.

Sign up to participate in these safe, socially distant activities or at a nonprofit of your choosing at BUW’s Volunteer Center. Nonprofits are encouraged to enter additional volunteer activities.

Unable to join these opportunities? You can still participate. Snap a photo “doing good” and share it on social media using the hashtag #HereForGood, and BUW will send you a gift. This also enters you into the photo contest for prizes. Whether you are helping a neighbor, planting a tree, or picking up trash, your informal volunteer efforts count too! Show us how you are #HereForGood.

Volunteer Month will culminate with BUW’s free virtual Live United Community Celebration (LUCC) on Thursday, April 29. More details to come.

#HereForGood Month is supported by dozens of local sponsors including lead sponsors Greylock Federal Credit Union and Berkshire Money Management. See a list of sponsors, details about the photo contest and sign up to stay informed about LUCC at www.berkshireunitedway.org/volunteermonth.
